Network Optimization Engineer at Safaricom Kenya

We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Network Planning & Design Department within the Technology Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Reporting to the Team Manager – RAN Optimization -, the role holder will be involved in the optimization of2G/3G/LTE technologies towards delivery of CSSR and CDR targets, RAN Parameter alignment, RAN neighbor management and best practice documentation. The role holder will also be involved in customer complaints investigations, DT analysis and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

•  Manage and coordinate optimization of 2G/3G/LTE infrastructure within cluster. 
•  Analyze statistical KPI trends, DT analysis and carry out remedial actions to resolve emerging quality issues. Optimize Existing 2G/3G/LTE sites in accordance with the agreed triggers for capacity, quality and coverage sites;
•  Monitor statistical and drive test cluster KPI’s on a continuous basis and Trigger corrective optimization plans and manage implementation to completion.
•  Ensure all physical changes are updated on ATOLL database. Perform routine audit on sites. Maintain standards 4G/3G/2G parameter rules on all radio database parameters;
•  Prioritize customer complaints and provide a solution/ recommendation within the agreed time frame. Identify and forestall potential complaint areas;
•  Identification of Potential bottlenecks in the2G/3G/LTE end to end network and escalate to other internal stakeholders for resolution
•   Generate potential site nominals within clusters in collaboration with commercial teams
