Mechanical Engineer at Voltalia

We are looking for a skilled Mechanic supervisor to monitor, support, check the mechanical assembly of a structure on site. This self-powered structure will be installed under the responsibility of a 3rd-party. You will be responsible for its quality inspection and technical coordination with the service provider, with the logisticians, with the other third-parties. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this scope, the candidate must be first and foremost responsible individual with great attention to safety precautions. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail.

They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions. Geometer skills would be much appreciated

Profile:

Qualifications :

• Engineering school diploma; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Proven experience in mechanics or as Geometer.
• Experience in the steel industry
• Fluent English (spoken/written), Swahili (spoken), driving license

Key Skills :

• Knowledge of machinery, mechanics inspection, calibration process Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc. A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
• Very good communication skills, a problem-solving ability
