Technology Lead Ecommerce at Safaricom Kenya

Department Description

We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Ecommerce (Masoko) Department within the Enterprise Business Unit Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Reporting to the Head of Department - Masoko, the position holder will be responsible for developing, driving and implementing Technology e-commerce strategy in-line with the business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, own, drive and implement the overall technology product strategy to ensure that ecommerce platforms meet business needs.
• Oversee innovation and continuous innovation of technical assets as well as day-to-day product development activities
• Build and lead a team dedicated to providing engineering support for the e-commerce platform.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field
• 10 – 15 years technology experience with proven ability in developing / implementing a successful technology / ecommerce strategy
• Project management skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Solid Understanding and Application of the Scrum Framework or agile ways of working.
