Clinical Evaluators at University of California San Francisco (UCSF)

Global Programs for Research and Training is registered as an international NGO in Kenya, wholly owned and affiliated to the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).

The Depression and Primary care Partnership for Effectiveness Implementation Research (DAPPER) project is a grant awarded to the University of Nairobi in collaboration with University of California San Francisco, Kenya Medical Research Institute and Makerere University to conduct effectiveness implementation hybrid randomized clinical trial of psychotherapy delivered by non-specialist in Kisumu County.

Global Programs for Research & Training is seeking qualified clinical evaluators to conduct this study. These positions will require one-year commitment, with potential for extension at the end of the period, subject to funding availability.

The clinical evaluators will work under the direct supervision of the lead clinical evaluator, study coordinator and overall supervision by the principal investigators.

Key Requirements:

The selected research assistant will have the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Public Health or any other health‐related field.
• Experience with mental care is desirable
• MUST keep all participant information confidential
• Successful completion of didactic training and practice evaluations required
• Refresher training and continuous, high quality work without errors is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft office and strong typing skills.
• Willing to work in Kisumu for the duration of the research project.
• Fluency in English and Swahili
