Electrical Engineer - Estimating at RA International

We currently looking for a Electrical Estimator, to be based in Nairobi Kenya, with Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Preferably professionally qualified / Chartered Electrical Engineer. 17th/ 18th Edition certified. Familiar with using relevant design software and fully capable of all manual systems / loading calculations. Excellent MS Excel, MS Word, PPT skills. Expert with BS and EU codes. Minimum of 10 years experience in low and medium voltage electrical and building systems engineering design and installation within multi-disciplinary construction, including power, lighting, services, communications, transformers, standby/ back-up systems, security systems etc.International site engineering experience highly beneficial.

Selected candidate must be able to:

• The Estimating Electrical Engineer’s primary function is to undertake detailed electrical systems engineering designs and costings for bids and projects.
• Low and medium voltage solutions, to 17th / 18th Edition and relevant international standards.
• Project design work will include developing concept designs for bids and detailed engineering designs and drawings suitable for construction, with all supporting calculations.
• Provide rapid and accurate support to construction teams will be necessary as will site attendance.
• Multi-disciplinary engineering coordination is required.
