Procurement Manager at African Coffee Roasters EPZ Limited

Role Summary

This role is for the planning and management of the procurement to ensure optimal & efficient purchasing and recording of the procurement information. This position will also be responsible for the purchases of production raw materials & will ensure that all purchases have the best and competitive market rates for production and that procurement operations comply with laws, regulations and other certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction (both internal and external) through timely receipt, dispatching and issue of goods.
• Review, update and maintains purchase orders until they are closed.
• Ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts;
• Prepare purchase orders & following up with suppliers and vendors to monitor and evaluate the delivery of approved supplies.
• Review contracts for ACR operation’s purchases annually.
• Update and maintain monthly material forecast.
• Ensure all packaging material usage is tracked and purchased as per the re-order levels.
• Coordinate with the quality department in ensuring all materials received conform to the set quality standards.
• Maintain and update suppliers' list.
• Maintain and update material purchase list.
• Any other tasks as assigned by the production coordinator and warehousing manager.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication
• At least 3 years working experience as a Procurement Manager or Procurement Officer
• BSc degree in supply chain management or Procurement
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data
• Experience working in an FMCG organization in Food & Beverage manufacturing is preferred.
