    Animal Health Technician

    Basic Salary for this position is between Kshs. 33,481 /= by Kshs. 1,066/= to Kshs. 45,200 /=

    Job Description for Animal Health Technician

    • Prepare for practical classes/Courses for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students
    • Ensure that all equipment, supplies, specimen and reagents are available.
    • Maintain laboratory solutions, equipment and apparatus
    • Collect and preserve of animal microorganism in the laboratory
    • Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
    • Development and maintenance of inventory of Laboratory reagents and equipment
    • Assist in management of livestock in the teaching farm
    • Research and consultancy
    • Any other duties as may be assigned by a senior officer.

    Job Requirements for Appointment

    • A Diploma in Animal Health/Applied Biology/Veterinary Medicine or any other relevant training from a recognized institution
    • At least Five (5) years relevant work experience working with livestock farmers or in a busy research and diagnosis veterinary laboratory or in a busy animal teaching institution
    • Must be Registered with Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB) or Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board (KMLTTB) or any other relevant professional body
