Assessor II (Functional Assessment - Audiology) at Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE)

Responsibilities

• Assess children with special needs and disabilities;
• Refer children assessed to other service providers;
• Place children assessed in educational programmes;
•  Provide data on assessment;
• Train assessment staff in functional assessment;
• Identify children with special needs and disabilities and recommend for placement in schools and institutions;
• Create awareness, sensitize and capacity-build teachers, parents and other stakeholders dealing with children with special needs and disabilities
• Participate community outreach service to awareness on disabilities

Qualifications / Work Experience

•  Professional    Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing    
• Academic    Bachelor’s Degree in Education in the area of Special Needs or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution    
• Professional    Two (2) years’ experience working in Functional Assessment
