Assistant Manager - Pharmacy Services - Laiboni Centre at Bliss Healthcare

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacy Services Manager in running pharmacy the department component in the company
• Guided by the Pharmacy Services Manager shall develop and implement Pharmacy tools, policies, procedures and job aids to promote compliance and commitment to quality in the department
• Participate in recruitment, orientation, mentorship and management of Pharmacy staff across the company
• Participate in recurring & scheduled meetings of BHL Committees/task forces as assigned by the PSM
• Leverage on data and analytics to identify quality trends and communicate results on the same to key stakeholders
• Conduct regular internal audits for the Medical Centres pharmacy to determine progress towards Company quality goals and targets; this includes supporting the Medical Centres pharmacies to close the identified gaps from the audits
• Guided by PSM shall analyse, monitor and evaluate patient safety concerns with regards to Pharmacy department
• Support and Conduct regular competency programs for Pharmacy staff
• Participate in inventory management and stock take to ensure the set parameters are achieved
• Responsible for management of customer complaints in liaison with PSM
• Provide routine progress reports as required

Requirements – Skills and Experience

• Diploma/ Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical technology
• Experience in inventory/ supply chain management
• Registered by the Pharmacy and Poisons board of Kenya
• Valid annual practice license
• Over 2 years’ experience
• Proficiency in computer application packages
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills is required together with proven leadership capabilities
• Proactive team player with strong customer service and problem-solving skills
