Billing Officer at Westlands Specialist Hospital

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process patient billing in accordance with hospital tariffs and insurance schemes
• Prepare accurate invoices, credit notes, and billing reports
• Liaise with insurance companies and SHA on claims and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and patient accounts
• Collaborate with finance and health records departments to resolve billing discrepancies

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Health Records and Information Technology (must have studied Health Records)
• Minimum 3 years' billing experience, preferably in a hospital/healthcare setting
• Sound knowledge of medical insurance billing (SHA, private insurers)
• Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
