Job Specification

• Malindi Water and Sanitation Company seeks to recruit a qualified and motivated Briquette Production Supervisor to oversee briquette production operations within its sludge-to-resource programme at Sabaki Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Environmental Science, or related field with a minimum working experience of 3 years OR
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Environmental Science, or related field with a minimum working experience of 5 years.
• Practical experience in briquette or biomass production.
• Basic electro-mechanical Plant and process troubleshooting ability.
• Strong understanding of safety and hygiene requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily briquette production activities including carbonization, drying, mixing, and pressing.
• Ensure safe handling of sludge-derived feedstock and adherence to OHS standards.
• Operate and maintain briquette production machinery and equipment.
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with set specifications.
• Maintain production records, inventory logs, and equipment checklists
• Train and supervise production staff and casual workers
