1. Studying building plans and drawings to work out the materials required and how best to install features.
2. Preparing, treating, cutting and shaping timber elements to be used for structures or fittings.
3. Erecting building framework, roofs and floors, fitting exteriors, doors and window frames.
4. Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
5. Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
6. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
7. Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
8. Erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes
9. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
10. Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers
