Charging Infrastructure Roll-out Lead at BasiGo

Responsibilities:

• Identify, acquire and commission vehicle charging locations around Nairobi to support the sale and operation of electric buses around the BasiGo customer routes and grid infrastructure.
• Manage a team of site identification and acquisition 
• Assist in site design, component selection, and procurement to support EV charging station installations
• Work with local contractors and utility companies to upgrade power infrastructure as required
• Work with local contractors to deploy civil works needed to support charging depot operations including but not limited to flooring solution upgrades, shelter, security and 
• Manage  of EV charger network and uptime post installation and commissioning

Our ideal candidate would have:

Required Qualifications

• Experience deploying high-reliability DC and AC power systems in Nairobi.
• Experience working with developing RFPs and  managing contractors involved in utilities infrastructure and understanding of utility company project implementation processes
• Experience engineering backup power solutions using generators and/or batteries
• Familiarity with site selection, acquisition and commissioning for utility and civil works projects
• Direct experience with electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging systems is a plus
