    Chief Laboratory Technologist Grade 12 - Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology & Parasitology.

    AD/2/24/24 – 1 POST

    Applicants to be holders of either a Msc. In any of the following fields: Pathology, Microbiology, or Parasitology or related disciplines from a recognized institution plus 5 years experience at the level of Senior Technologist Grade DEF OR Bsc. or Higher Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized learning Institution plus seven (7) years’ experience at the level of Senior Technologist grade DEF (9/10).

    Duties and responsibilities

    The successful candidate will among other assignments be expected to supervise technical staff and be in charge of the technical facilities/ equipment in the Department, assist academic staff and students in preparing practical and participate in research activities; assist the Chairman of the Department in procurement of goods, services and equipment for teaching, diagnostics and research; prepare annual budget estimates and; supervise non-teaching, be liaison between academic staff and non-teaching staff to ensure smooth running of practical lessons, demonstrations and research projects and participate in research projects, income generating activities and all matters of the Department, Faculty, and the University at large.
