    Chief Technologist, Grade 12, Department of Earth and Climate Science

    AC/3/79/24 – 1 POST

    Applicants to be holders of either a Masters degree in Geology or any other relevant area from a recognized Learning Institution plus five (5) years’ experience at the level of Senior Technologist grade 8/9/10 (DEF) OR either a Bachelor of Science degree or Higher Diploma Geology or any other relevant area from a recognized learning Institution plus seven (7) years’ experience at the level of Senior Technologist grade 8/9/10 (DEF).

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will among other assignments be expected to supervise technical staff in the Department, participate in research activities, develop materials for technical and academic instruction, ensuring that all reports and technical data are maintained in an archive, ensure all laboratory equipment are maintained and that the related supplies are available, receiving, processing and analyzing samples, organize and supervise practical classes for both under and post graduate students.
