Chinese Interpreter at Fieldforce Solutions Limited

Job Summary: As a Chinese Interpreter, you will facilitate effective communication between English, Swahili and Chinese-speaking individuals. You’ll interpret spoken language during meetings, phone calls, and video conferences, and provide accurate and culturally-sensitive translations. This role is crucial to ensuring smooth operations and supporting positive relationships with Chinese-speaking clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language between English, Swahili and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) during meetings, calls, and events.
• Translate documents and written communication as needed.
• Ensure translations are accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate.
• Collaborate with various departments to support bilingual communication needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree or certification.
• Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) ,English and Swahili, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience as an interpreter or translator.
• Strong understanding of Chinese culture and customs.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different clients and projects.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
