Cloud and Networks Engineer at HighSpeed Office Kenya (HSO Kenya)

As we continue to expand our operations, we are currently seeking a talented and experienced Cloud and Networks Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

As a Cloud and Networks Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud and networking infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver scalable and secure solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud and network infrastructure based on industry best practices and standards.
• Develop and maintain network architecture, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor and ensure the availability, performance, and security of cloud-based services and network systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and cloud-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate cloud and networking solutions.
• Assist in the planning, design, and execution of cloud migration projects.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud and networking technologies and trends.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working as a Cloud and Networks Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including cloud networking and security.
• Proficient in network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, etc.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), are a plus.
