Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Python + AWS CDK) at Pundit Space

This role focuses on building scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK with Python. Responsibilities include designing reusable CDK constructs, automating deployments, managing environments, and collaborating with DevOps to ensure reliability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure as code using AWS CDK with Python.
• Use Python 3.x scripting and classes to author reusable CDK constructs modeling AWS infrastructure.
• Automate AWS service interactions leveraging Boto3 beyond CDK.
• Manage Python project environments and dependencies using pip, virtualenv, or venv.
• Use CDK CLI commands (cdk synth, cdk deploy) to build and deploy cloud stacks.
• Write and execute unit and integration tests for infrastructure code using pytest.
• Debug and validate infrastructure code quality with tools like flake8.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to troubleshoot deployment failures and runtime issues.
• Document infrastructure code and automation workflows for maintainability and scaling.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency with AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) Python SDK.
• Solid experience with Python 3.x syntax, scripting, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience using AWS Boto3 SDK for AWS automation.
• Familiarity with Python packaging and environment management (pip, virtualenv, venv).
• Practical knowledge of infrastructure automation using Python scripting.
• Experience running CDK CLI commands: cdk synth, cdk deploy, etc.
• Experience writing and running tests with pytest.
• Skills in debugging and code validation using tools like flake8.
• Ability to troubleshoot CloudFormation stack failures and runtime errors.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation.
