    Consultant – Health and Migration

    Purpose of consultancy

    To strengthen the production of the Global Evidence and reviews on Health and Migration, and associated products and activities of the Health and Migration Programme (PHM).  In particular, the consultant will facilitate development, management and implementation of the 2023 Global Evidence review on Health and Migration (GEHM) series

    Deliverables: 

    Deliverable 1: 

    • Based on feedback on the various thematic(s) and input from the Interdivisional Working Group, keep up to date the GEHM methodology.
    • Develop information notes on status of deliverables, milestones, deadlines, progress reports.
    • Identify and document various operational issues that may arise to facilitate GEHMs development and production processes and solve.
    • Deliver other relevant materials and tasks for the successful implementation of the project.    

    Deliverable 2: 

    • Prepare internal documents and materials related to the production of up to five GEHMs - draft concept notes, clearance documents, Request for Proposals (RFP), etc.
    • Work with relevant PHM focal point on communication aspects, prepare and update a communication and dissemination plan for up to five GEHMs as well as plans for advocacy, promotion and communication activities, such as prepare presentations, organize launch events at global, regional and country levels Tasks include, but are not limited to, prepare technical materials  on key messages; information leaflet; fact sheets, and Q&As.

    Qualifications, experience, skills and languages

    Educational Qualifications:

    Essential:

    • University degree in public health or social science from a recognized university.

    Experience

    Essential:

    • A minimum of two years’ experience in project management.
    • Experience in research and publication processes.

    Desirable: 

    • Experience in conducting evidence reviews and producing policy briefs. 
    • Past experience within UN, preferably WHO.

    Skills/Knowledge:

    • Project coordination skills.
    • Report-writing skills (in English).
    • Knowledge of public health, WHO and other relevant international organizations systems.
