Core Network Cloud Lead at Airtel

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Forecast capacity demands ahead of time to build up the necessary capacity
2. Technology refresh to update the NFVI with the latest technology
3. Plan the roadmap for functional enhancements of the Networks Cloud
4. Lab setup and nd testing of multiple Cloud technologies and VNF/CNF & its management.
5. Running of Tenders with the support of the Procurement team. This would include the preparations of technical specifications, technical and commercial evaluation and Statement of Works.
6. Manage Project Delivery within the allocated budget, resources and timeline.
7. Service Transition to ensure Project is handed over to Service Operations.
8. Planning, design and dimensioning of new Technologies of networks from scratch
9. Preparing the solution proposal requirements for the vendors based upon the network requirements.
10. Technical discussions & BoQ alignment with the vendors on submitted solutions.
11. Technical evaluation of vendors based upon the submitted proposal.
12. Project management & tracking deployments & upgrades across all the OpCos.
13. Leading Monthly vendor meetings for projects management.
14. Supporting business teams on their requirements & visions realization with apt solutions.
15. Engage with & manage multiple OpCos technical counterparts.

Qualifications and skills critical to the role:

1. Minimum qualification is a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications or Computer Science degree.
2. Minimum 7-10 years working experience in planning, designing, implementation & management of Cloud core network.
3. Expert level knowledge of 4G/IMS/5G Core network planning setup, Operation and maintenance.
4. Expert level knowledge of 4G/IMS/5G network interfaces, call flows & protocols.
5. Hands on experience of network deployment & management.
6. Detailed knowledge of core network & protocols.
7. Ability to work as a multi-network domain leader/SME with minimum supervision.
8. Self-driven, team player, good presentation skills and motivated.
9. Task oriented with excellent organizational & inter departments interaction skills.
10. Good understanding of the commercial aspects of the business.
