County Liaison Officer at Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS)

Key responsibilities:

1. Liaison with County and Sub-County Pharmacists, Tuberculosis, Malaria and Laboratory Coordinators and implementing partners
2. Liaison with County and Sub-County Pharmacists and follow-up on deliveries of consignments to health facilities
3. Liaison with all implementing partners within the counties and create robust feedback loop mechanisms for addressing clients’ concerns
4. Conduct post-delivery internal surveys to reconcile USAID commodities and address any anomalies identified promptly
5. Liaison with MEDS Operations Centre for seamless communication, feedback and updates on executed key performance indicators and emerging issues
6. Representation of MEDS in counties stakeholders’ forums and relevant commodity meetings
7. Participate in County multi-disciplinary meetings and provide progress updates/reports
8. Conduct spot-checks and targeted support supervision visits to monitor and evaluate deliveries within sub-counties and generate related reports
9. Prepare and submit a monthly progress report on the implementation of the USAID-funded project in the assigned region

Candidate Profile:

1. At least 3 years of experience in PEPFAR/USAID funded projects management and county collaborations
2. Bachelors in Health Sciences; Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Pharmacy, Health Systems Management or related field. Certification in project management, monitoring and evaluation and MBA will be an added advantage
3. Registration with a relevant professional body and a valid practise license.
4. Valid driving license with 2 years of driving experience
5. The position will be located in Kisumu Branch
