Position Summary

• The Data Mining Specialist will identify and extract high-quality customer data across different markets to support the sales team’s outreach and conversion efforts. 
• The ideal candidate has proven experience in data research, customer profiling, and preferably, familiarity with the fiber optics industry.

• Our client is a leading provider of fiber optic cables and accessories, offering products such as optical cables, cable management systems, and hardware solutions. This role supports their growth strategy by sourcing and delivering relevant customer data to drive business development.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of qualified leads generated (weekly/monthly)Lead conversion rate (tracked by the sales team)Accuracy and completeness of contact informationTimeliness in delivering requested lead listsNumber of new market segments identified
• Data compliance and cleanliness score

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify potential customers.
• Compile accurate contact data: emails, phone numbers, company names, etc.
• Work closely with sales to define ideal customer profiles for data targeting.
• Maintain and update the lead database with accurate, current info.
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify new opportunities.
• Ensure all collected data complies with relevant privacy regulations.
• Provide weekly reports and dashboards on leads and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with marketing to align lead sourcing with campaigns.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a Data Mining, Lead Generation, or similar role.
• Experience in or with the fiber optics industry is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of data mining tools and lead sourcing platforms.
• High attention to detail; able to manage and clean large datasets efficiently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
