Job Description
AMI is now looking for a Director of Tech Product to play a critical role in leading our technology and product management teams. This position involves overseeing the engineering aspects of our learning applications, developing strategic product roadmaps, and managing product analytics. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will be the driving force behind our technological innovations, aligning business needs with user experience and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and implement a long-term technology vision and product tech strategy (3-5 years), ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Define and own the core product development roadmaps and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) related to technology.
Team Management and Development:
- Manage and mentor the technology product team, including recruitment, development, and day-to-day management.
- Provide direct supervision to product associates responsible for user education, engagement, and technical support.
Product Development and Management:
- Lead the scope definition and development of new product features and enhancements, including backlog and project management activities.
- Oversee product communication, training, and user feedback processes to ensure product-market alignment.
Engineering and Technical Management:
- Oversee team of Software Engineers across technical products (web, mobile, devops)
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of AMI's technologies and business, with deep knowledge of technical aspects of the product area.
- Manage and refine the software development and testing processes, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Control and manage technical debt, ensuring the AMI Platform is up-to-date with server services and application versioning.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer, Product Leaders (across product squads, learning design and content teams), and other key stakeholders to align product and technology efforts with business objectives.
- Act as a product ambassador both internally and externally, linking product development to customer needs.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology development, with significant leadership experience (especially in a high-growth environment).
- Proven track record in product management and technology strategy in a tech-enabled learning environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
