ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate should possess a good knowledge of power supply systems both medium and high voltage, excellent analytical, troubleshooting and organizational skills. They should be able to innovate and provide simple and cost effective solutions to complex engineering problems.The role will suit an individual who has passion for electrical engineering, is self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all work in compliance with the Company’s HSE Policy, Rules, Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Work Instructions and Work Permits so as to ensure your own safety and that of others.
• Executes electrical jobs in his/her section, on direction of his/her Supervisor and gives feedback
• Fault finds and repairs electrical equipment following recognized and safe procedures
• In collaboration with his/her Supervisor, he/she facilitates documentation and record keeping of execution tasks and other relevant data.
• Performs electrical first level inspections daily of his/her section and reports such findings to his/her Supervisor
• He timely Executes weekly PMs while observing quality of work and safety
• Participates in new Plant improvement projects and proposes new innovative ideas for plant improvement
• Carries out housekeeping of electrical rooms/ Substation as assigned by his supervisors
• Participates in on-call team
• Collaborates and supports other employees from other departments in execution of tasks.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Diploma in electrical power systems engineering.
• 2 years electrical experience in the heavy machinery industry.
• Knowledge of Industrial instrumentation and or Automation will be an added advantage
