Field Operations Coordinator at Fracht Group

The Field Operations Coordinator will coordinate with shipping lines, port authorities, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo clearance and movement. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Port & Cargo Operations
• Coordinate with shipping lines, port authorities, and CFS operators to ensure timely cargo clearance.
• Process and lodge shipping documentation, customs paperwork, and import/export permits with relevant authorities.
• Verify the accuracy of shipping and customs documents, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Liaise with customs officials to resolve clearance issues and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of cargo movements, including arrival/departure times and shipment details.
• Assist in resolving logistical challenges such as delays, damages, or lost shipments.
• Stay updated on import/export regulations, port procedures, and industry trends to optimize operations. Communication & Coordination
• Act as the main contact point between the office and third-party stakeholders.
• Address inquiries regarding logistics and provide timely shipment updates.
• Resolve service issues by identifying problems, implementing solutions, and ensuring follow-ups.
• General & Ad-Hoc Responsibilities
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Port Operations.
• Promote Fracht Kenya's services to potential and existing clients.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education

• Diploma in Customs Clearing & Forwarding.
• East Africa Customs Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate.

Experience

• Knowledge in customs clearing and forwarding is an added advantage. Experience in handling special cargo and breakbulk shipments
