Finance Collections Officer at Username Properities

Job Description

Username is a leading real estate company based in Nairobi. The company seeks to recruit a Self-Driven and Enthusiastic Finance Collections Officer.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect outstanding debts from clients and achieve collection target to ensure positive cash flow.
• Maintain debtor’s book to ensure that the debt status is accurate and latest.
• Develop reports on aged debt accounts and days sales outstanding (DSO) reports.
• Monitor slow moving accounts to identify delinquent debts and take necessary action to recover the debts.
• Review collection queue to perform collection activities accordingly.
• Adhere to customer policies and procedures.
• Close a specific number of collection accounts each month to meet assigned targets and maintaining a high level of customer retention
• Contact debtors and implement repayment schedules and terms.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of company and customer information.
• Attend educational programs for professional growth and skill development.
• Follows up on invoices submitted to ensure prompt and timely payment
• Evaluates payments/denials received for correctness and ensures that they are applied appropriately.
• Identifies bad debt write-offs and A/R adjustments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Liaising with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team

Requirements:

1. Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a closely related field.
2. At least CPA part 2 qualification
3. 3 years’ experience in a busy credit control department
4. Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
5. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
6. Proven ability to make complex and time-sensitive decisions in the best interests of the organization
7. Strong analytical and organizational abilities with great attention to detail
8. Ability to work alone with minimum supervision
9. High level of integrity, resilient and energetic individual
10. Real estate industry experience is an added advantage

Salary Scale

Kshs. 45,000 – Kshs. 60,000
