Finance Manager at Buhler Group

Tasks

• Month end processing and reporting in alignment with group and IFRS standards
• Daily, weekly and monthly internal business reporting
• Financial control over inventory and assets
• ERP management and control for certain functions
• Portfolio management of internal and external audits, company secretarial, insurance, bank and taxes
• Provide strategic and operational financial information and advice the management to aid short- and long-term decision making
• Manage the full year end external audit function, report any non-conformances to management and implement actions for improvements to systems, processes, and procedures
• Administer and manage the system stock, as well as the stock
• Count process on a bi-annual basis. Complete valuation, reach calculation and analysis
• Contract and liaise with consultants for tax preparation, auditing, banking, company secretarial, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
• Review and management of actuals to budget as well as implement actions for cost reduction.
• Prepare annual budgets in liaison with department heads
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
• Provide contractual support to sales managers during negotiation
• Assist sales throughout the sales quotations phase (customer credit worthiness, assessment of customer readiness, evaluation of financing needs as well as follow up of commercial clearance of projects)
• Support with procurement and shipping topics
• Provide support, direction, and leadership to the finance team
• Implements and improve internal controls to mitigate management, operational and financial reporting risks
• All other tasks assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting
• Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is an added advantage
• At least 7-10 years of progressive financial responsibility with at least 3 of those years in a managerial position, preferably in the plant equipment manufacturer industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in the use of ERP systems (SAP, Sage) along with its right application
• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
• Commercial and business awareness
• Good communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with internal and external shareholders
• Sound judgment and good decision-making skills
• Good negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
• Excellent entrepreneurial and innovative thinking
