Fire Protection Inspector (Tier 2) at Flour Corporation

Job Description

• Provides fire inspection services within assigned area of responsibility. Inspects fire protection devices, systems and procedures to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable standards and requirements. Plans, schedules, and conducts training programs for all functional areas of the Fire/Security Section.
• Maintains training reference files, directives, office instructions, lesson plans, training aids, and training records.
• Responds to emergencies, evaluates operational procedures, acts as safety officer, assists with rescue, fire suppression and overhaul when directed. May function as a firefighter to supplement existing personnel when required.
• May require formal training on relevant Automated Information Systems (AIS).
• Performs duties in accordance with AR 420-1, DoDI 6055.06, DoD 6055.06-M, AR 525-27, DoDI 6055.06, 29 CFR 1910.120, 49 CFR Part 40, AR 190-45, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1, NFPA 101, NFPA 5000, NFPA 10, 29 CFR 1910.157, TM 3-34.30, DA PAM 525-27, and AR 40-3. Other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

• High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and Minimum of four (4) years related experience

Other Job Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
