    Graduate Student Assistant Scholarships

    The Scholarship:

    The MMUST Graduate Student Assistant Scholarships are merit-based awards that provides qualified applicants with an opportunity to take postgraduate studies at MMUST on a stipend without paying tuition fees. The Scholarship is competitively and meritoriously awarded to citizens of Kenya who earned their first degree from MMUST.

    Reservation:

    • MMUST reserves the right not to make any award at any stage of the selection exercise and the rights to change the value and eligibility criteria for the awards.

    Selection Criteria:
    Applicants should

    • Be MMUST Alumni.
    • Be full-time students in a Master or Doctor of Philosophy degree program approved by MMUST Senate.
    • Have personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership and scholarship;
    • Have a clear post-Scholarship plan, outlining his/her career objectives and how he/she plans to achieve them.
    • Not have had any disciplinary case.

    Terms and Conditions:

    • By accepting a MMUST Graduate Student Assistant Scholarship award, the recipient agrees to the terms and conditions set by the University. The MMUST GSA Scholarship is awarded for one (1) year and is renewed once (for Masters) or twice (for PhD) upon satisfactory academic progress. The award of Scholarship is not an offer of employment.

    Commencement:

    • The outcome of Scholarship applications and commencement of the scholarship will be sent to applicants
    • immediately they are fully processed through their nominated correspondence address at the time of notification.

    Priority areas:

    • For a start, priority areas for which GSA scholarships will funded include Engineering, Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Health Sciences and Education.
