Head Customs Declaration at Fracht Group

POSITION OVERVIEW

• We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head – Customs Declaration to lead our customs brokerage team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, planning, coordinating, and controlling all customs brokerage activities to ensure compliance, eciency, and excellence in service delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage all customs brokerage operations of Fracht Kenya.
• Provide professional and technical guidance to sta and management on customs-related matters.
• Review and improve customs procedures, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations.
• Supervise declaration processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness in customs entry processing.
• Liaise with KRA and other regulatory bodies to stay updated on developments aecting operations.
• Assign, monitor, and evaluate sta performance, identifying training and development needs.
• Participate in budget preparation and ensure adherence to budgetary limits.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on customs operations, performance, and bond utilization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supplies & Logistics Management, or related field.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Customs Clearing and Forwarding is an added advantage.
• Eastern Africa Customs and Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate (EACFFPC) — mandatory.
• Training in KRA/KESRA customs systems, including iCMS and KenTrade Single Window System.
• At least five (5) years’ experience in a reputable customs clearing and forwarding rm.
• Proven knowledge of customs laws, regional trade regulations, and freight forwarding operations.
