    Head of Quality Assurance/Quality Control

    Role: You’ll develop company-wide processes and controls to ensure quality requirements are met at all Unity homes projects. You will supervise the project QA/QC teams by providing leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel. You will report to the Chief Construction Officer and work closely with the Project Managers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop plans and procedures for all QA/QC programmes,
    • Implement QA/QC plans and procedures through the life of the projects,
    • Assists the Project Manager in developing an orientation programme to ensure that the project teams are familiar with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan,
    • Manage a team of QA/QC Supervisor on numbers of sites,
    • Actively participates and drive the recruitment of QA/QC inspectors,
    • Supervise QA/QC activities, including inspection and the collection of Quality Records,
    • Analyse all products and non-conformance processes and evaluate all documents to ensure the maintenance of optimal quality and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performance,
    • Ensures all QA/QC documentation is compiled and competed for as-built recording,
    • Ensure that the calibration of all inspection, measurement and test equipment are conducted according to the defined schedule,
    • Identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies, including root cause analysis.
    • Supervise the quality inspections with the clients.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable Institution or equivalent.
    • Previous experience in a similar role/environment.
    • Continuous improvement attitude.
    • Able to meet tight deadlines and schedules while maintaining quality, safety and profitability.
    • Advanced ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
    • Able to work within the project framework(s) and adhere to all Company guidelines and policies.
    • Good planning and organisational skills.
