Pembroke House is a unique British boarding school in the heart of Kenya. We are a small, multicultural school of around 200 pupils, and cater for boys and girls aged 2 - 13 years. We have a 90 year history of private education in East Africa, and our focus is on developing well-rounded, happy, independent, polite and confident pupils.

The Role

We are looking to appoint a Headteacher who will:
- Build on Pembroke House’s long‑established reputation for academic ambition, pastoral excellence and all‑round education.
- Lead with clarity, warmth and purpose, inspiring pupils and staff alike.
- Champion the school’s boarding ethos and vibrant extra‑curricular life, ensuring that every child is known, challenged and supported.
- Strengthen the school’s strategic direction in partnership with the Pembroke House Council (the Board of Governors).
- Uphold and model the school’s values of curiosity, courage, spirit of adventure, compassion, resilience and integrity - qualities fostered through the unique Pembroke experience. We welcome applications from current Heads as well as senior leaders seeking their first headship.
