Hydroblasting Technician at Amentum

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate Hydroblasting equipment safely and effectively for cleaning and surface preparation.
• Perform Hydroblasting activities in accordance with project specifications, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains operational and reliable.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs as needed to restore functionality.
• Fabricate or manufacture replacement parts for Hydroblasting equipment when required.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, inspections, and replacement parts.
• Complete required manufacturer or industry training and maintain applicable certifications.
• Follow all manufacturer guidelines, safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential equipment issues and implement solutions to minimize operational disruptions and delays.
• Work independently while maintaining a high standard of safety, quality, and equipment performance.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating and maintaining high pressure Hydroblasting equipment or comparable machinery.
• Training or certification in the operation and maintenance of Hydroblasting equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to repair and fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment required for Hydroblasting maintenance and repair.
• Strong understanding of safety practices for high pressure equipment operations.
• Ability to work independently and maintain optimal equipment performance.
• Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
• Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. 
• Must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce
• A valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle. Valid country driver’s license. and passport.
• Certification in machining or mechanical repair.
• Experience supporting Hydroblasting operations for industrial or government projects.
