ICT Intern at Java House

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Configuration & deployment of firewalls, routers, switches and wi-fi access points (Cisco, Huawei, Fortinet, MikroTik, D-Link etc.). Utilizing monitoring tools to monitor the network and ensure optimum performance, identify network issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Support end users with LAN and WAN related issues in coordination with other IT teams and service providers.
• Management of local domain structure, users, rights and privileges using LDAP.
• Configuration and maintenance of PABX and telephones and liaising with service providers on the same.
• Enterprise endpoint protection platform (EPP) installation and management in coordination with the enterprise administrator. Support & maintenance of Privileged access management (PAM) platform.
• Creating and maintaining network documentation, including diagrams and technical guides.
• Any other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering/Information Technology/Computer Science or any other related degree is mandatory.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN).
• Associate or Professional certifications such CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar are a plus.
• Familiarity with networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls and access points.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, or macOS).

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Ability to travel within short notice.
• Flexible working hours including weekends and public holidays.
