    Insurance Manager

    • As the Insurance Manager at My 1Health, you will lead the strategic expansion of our insurance partnerships across Africa, focusing on enhancing our global network of healthcare providers to support international medical treatments for policyholders. This role is pivotal in building relationships with insurance companies both locally and internationally, ensuring that partnerships are both strategic and operationally aligned with My 1Health’s global healthcare facilitation goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Partnership Expansion, Onboarding and Management:

    • the development and execution of a strategic plan to rapidly expand My 1Health's insurance network across Africa to 100+.
    • and implement strategies to identify, vet, and onboard new insurance partners across Africa, focusing on those that enhance our ability to facilitate international medical treatments.
    • the onboarding process for new insurance partners, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration.
    • and implement strategies to streamline onboarding processes and optimise team performance.
    • the operational integration of new partnerships, ensuring that systems, processes, and teams are aligned to deliver exceptional service.
    • and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential insurance partners, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders.
    • favourable partnership agreements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
    • with cross-functional teams to align insurance offerings with our network of partner hospitals and healthcare services.
    • and enhance the access of insurance partners’ policyholders to our global network of healthcare providers.
    • and evaluate partnership performance against key performance indicators and strategic objectives. Adjust strategies as necessary to improve outcomes.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • and lead a diverse team capable of managing insurance partnerships.
    • onboard, and train new team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

    Strategic Oversight and International Operations:

    • strategic plans that not only expand our insurance network but also enhance our capabilities in facilitating overseas medical treatments and identifying growth opportunities.
    • integrating new partnerships into our global operations, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
    • with healthcare facilities and providers across continents to ensure seamless service delivery to international policyholders.
    • scalable systems, processes, and technology solutions to support efficient partnership management and team operations.
    • resources effectively, manage budgets, and ensure adequate staffing, infrastructure, and financial resources to support growth.

    Performance Management and Relationship Building:

    • the effectiveness of partnerships through performance metrics, focusing on quality of care and patient satisfaction on a global scale.
    • robust relationships with both existing and potential insurance partners, fostering long-term collaborations that support international medical facilitation.

    Regulatory Compliance and Market Insight:

    • all partnership agreements and operations comply with local and international insurance regulations and standards.
    • informed of global market trends and regulatory changes that could impact international medical treatment facilitation.

    Requirements

    • degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or related field.
    • of 5 years of experience working with both local and international insurance providers, with a proven track record in partnership management and business development across Africa.
    • negotiating and finalising complex partnership agreements.
    • ability to develop and implement strategies that involve international healthcare facilitation.
    • healthcare network familiarity and understanding the complexities of international healthcare, including medical tourism, is crucial.
    • leadership abilities with experience in managing culturally diverse teams.
    • understanding of the insurance regulatory environment across different African countries.
    • thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a passion for scaling businesses.
    • in CRM software, data analysis tools, and capable of handling complex logistics involved in international healthcare.
    • with digital transformation in the insurance industry a strong plus.

    Nice to have:

    • or master’s degree in International Business or a related field.
    • capabilities such as Arabic and French are desirable.
