Qualifications/special skills
Advanced university degree in criminology, law, political sciences, development, sociology or related discipline is required; A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
A minimum of five years of relevant working experience in programme or project management support, technical assistance in TIP and SOM or related areas, is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of UNODC mandate and Eastern Africa region areas is required.
Experience in conducting research in crime prevention and criminal justice issues. or a directly related field is required
Excellent command of written and spoken English and French is required
Previous work experience with the UN or other International Organizations is desirable.
