Kiswahili/Social Studies Teacher at The Ark Junior School Company Limited

The Ark Junior Schools Company Limited wishes to hire a Kiswahili/Social Studies Teacher (CBC Curriculum) reporting to the Head Teacher to carry out the following duties and responsibilities;

• Teaching and Learing in a comprehensive manner and use of interactive teaching methods - visual/audio means to facilitate learning
• Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning where students fully participate
• Assess and record students’ progress and give reports on the same
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders
• Participate in meetings with other teachers, help induct new teachers and act as mentors
• Plan and execute extra and co-curricular activities
• Maintenance of student discipline through good classroom management
• Continuous professional development of self by attending seminars, conferences etc.
• Facilitate learner group work and projects
• Prepare learner register, diary and mark assignments given to learners
• Pay attention to learners with physical and learning difficulties
• Remedial actions to support learners with performance gaps

Qualifications and skills required;

• Bachelor of Education Degree/Diploma in Education/P1 Certificate
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as Kiswahili/Social StudiesTeacher in a  reputable school
• ·Proven performance in subject area
• TSC certificate is a MUST
• Good communication skills
