    Project Officer – Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health

    Main duties

    • Provide high-level technical expertise and credibility for the delivery of PAC services for adolescents in the focal county.
    • Stay up to date with evidence and trends in the global sexual and reproductive health field, with emphasis in the latest clinical evidence regarding comprehensive abortion care, and use this knowledge and expertise to support delivery of the project.
    • Together with team members oversee the development and quality assurance of - technical guidelines, protocols, informational materials and all other relevant resources required to support increased access to quality SRH services by adolescent girls.
    • Serve as a technical lead in clinical quality assurance of sexual and reproductive health services, and provide guidance and support to the service providers.
    • Assist the Coordinator in facilitating training across the program, reviewing curricula, tools, conducting field visits, addressing identified gaps and promoting systematic use of data to improve the quality of project’s approaches and interventions.
    • Work with the lead mobilizer to strengthen capacity of local CHVs/YPPs and Community Based Organizations and private vendors to provide services for girls.
    • Work closely with the project Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) officer to systematically conduct data analysis at the program levels, producing data dashboards and learning briefs that can be used to inform interactive program design and implementation and to routinely share results with consortium partners and funders.
    • Promote technical learning across the project, by hosting and facilitating innovative exchange sessions between participating providers.
    • Ensure that the program, while driving innovation, promotes an approach that minimizes the risk of potential harm to girls and other stakeholders.
    • To deliver evidence-informed interventions that achieve expected results while adopting a robust safeguarding approach across the program cycle.
    • Collaborate with the program’s M&E team to ensure that system produces quality and timely data required to inform and improve delivery of results.
    • Support the Project Coordinator to identify, monitor and manage any risks to the attainment of program results, particularly those related to quality service provision and safeguarding.
    • Support fundraising and resource mobilization initiatives including generation of innovative ideas, provision of appropriate data and information needed to develop concepts and proposals.
    • Represent the project in an appropriate stakeholder engagements and meetings at County level.

    Desirable Qualifications

    • Minimum Qualification in Nursing/Clinical/Pharmacy/Public Health is preferred. Must be dully registered with requisite bodies.
    • Technical expertise of 5 years in the field of quality of care, community health strategy in sexual and reproductive health and rights projects will be an added advantage.
    • Experience of engagement with both public & private health sector and coordination.
    • Ability to work and hold planning sessions with technical working groups and stakeholders at the County level.
    • Strong experience in facilitating trainings and development of materials including VCAT, mentorship, support supervision tools and providing institutional support and technical assistance on issues related to ASRH service provision.
    • Experience in RH/maternal newborn and child health programming including facility and communitybased health service improvement is essential. 
    • Understanding of National policies on RH/MNCH issues and how to contribute to their development with political analysis skills, sensitivity, and diplomacy.
    • Should possess excellent report writing and presentation skills.
