    Laboratory In-Charge - 6 positions

    About Us:

    • Nairobi Women’s Hospital is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to excellence in medical care and diagnostics. We are seeking a competent and experienced Laboratory In-Charge to oversee and manage laboratory operations at our Mombasa branch.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with quality standards.
    • Supervise laboratory staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of laboratory supplies and reagents.
    • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
    • Perform diagnostic tests and ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
    • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to maintain high testing standards.
    • Collaborate with clinicians to support patient care and address diagnostic needs.
    • Manage laboratory records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify and address areas for improvement.
    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including infection prevention and biohazard management.
    • Prepare and submit monthly reports on laboratory performance to the Hospital Manager.
    • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
    • Valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
    • At least 3 years of experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory, with supervisory experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in operating and maintaining modern laboratory equipment.
