Laboratory Technician at Lewa Wildlife Conservancy (Lewa)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collecting specimens from patients for analysis;
• Conducting necessary analysis on specimens and providing results;
• Custody and maintenance of laboratory equipment;
• Ensure proper storage of reagents;
• Preparation of monthly and annual laboratory reports;
• Ensuring cleanliness in the laboratory at all times.

Qualifications

• A certificate/diploma In Medical Laboratory sciences.
• Professional certification through registration by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board (KMLTTB).
• At least 2 years post qualification experience in a busy healthcare setup.
• Computer literate and conversant with different automatic laboratory equipment. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of HIV/Aids management.
• Ready to work under minimum supervision.
• Ready to start working immediately.
