Laboratory Technologist at Ciala Hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests accurately and according to approved procedures.
• Receive, label, process and handle patient specimens correctly.
• Ensure accurate recording, analysis and reporting of laboratory results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents and supplies.
• Perform quality control procedures and maintain laboratory standards.
• Ensure proper documentation and confidentiality of patient results.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and infection prevention standards in the laboratory.
• Work closely with clinicians and other departments to support timely patient diagnosis and care.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, equipment faults and other laboratory needs.
• Comply with professional, regulatory and hospital requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences/Technology from a recognised institution.
• Valid professional registration and practising licence.
• Hospital laboratory experience is an added advantage.
• Good technical, analytical and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
