Land Economist at ACAL Consulting

What we are looking for

We are currently seeking a Land Economist to provide services in land valuations, real estate projects appraisals, and market analysis of mixed-use real estate project developments focused around rail transport hubs.

Your mission

• Conduct analysis of proposed land use and investment appraisal
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted on-site
• Undertake real estate market analysis and develop reports
• Prepare real estate development proposals
• Prepare quality project technical reports for client submission
• Undertake activities to support land valuations, real estate projects appraisals, and market analysis of the real estate projects.
• Develop and manage good and effective relationships with the clients and other stakeholders

What you need

• At least a Bachelor’s degree (preferably a Master’s Degree), in Land Economics or related discipline from a recognized university
• A Strong understanding of Land-Use planning, and be able to interpret how demographic data and statistics are impacted by Land-Use planning to produce useable data
• Must be registered with the Institution of Surveyors
• Must have a current practicing license
• Should have at least 10 years overall experience including at least 5 years’ experience in consulting
• Should demonstrate experience in mixed land use developments
• Extensive knowledge in land valuations, real estate projects appraisals
• Experience in real estate management, and market analysis of real estate projects in major mixed land use development projects
• Excellent technical writing skills (mandatory)
• Experience in preparing project reports, and/or publications
• Excellent English language skills (mandatory)
• Regional experience in Sub Saharan Africa is an added advantage
• Able to work with multidisciplinary multicultural teams
• Able to deliver work within tight deadlines and handle heavier work pressure near deadlines
