Lead Generator / Data Mining- BD Intern at Sun King (Formerly Greenlight Planet)

About the Role:

• The Partnerships Sales Team is looking for an energetic Lead Generator / Data Mining-  BD Intern to join the team for a fixed period of 3 months extendable by another 3 months.
• We are looking for a go getter, apt researcher, capable of navigating the internet to deliver leads and identifying potential customers through research and outreach.
• Are you a data mining, lead generation and sales guru capable of navigating the internet to deliver stellar leads within the off-grid industry? We want to hear from you. 

What you would be expected to do

• Intensive research to generate leads and build a pipeline of potential partners across target industries in East & Southern Africa.
• Qualify potential prospects and verify contact details for initial contact i.e. email & telephone numbers.
• Identify and prospect for relevant conferences, events across East & Southern Africa.
• Make initial contact with conference and event organizers.
• Update accurate and timely relevant reports i.e. daily trackers, industry trends, competition data, events and conferences.
• You might be a strong candidate if you
• Have Sales/ Business Development/ Lead Generation/ Data Mining Experience
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with potential customers.
• Have ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage leads and sales data.
• Have knowledge of Social Media applications like Linkedin, Facebook.
