Lower Primary Teacher at Maseno Educational Centre

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the educational needs of students in Grades 1 to 3, in line with CBE.
• Regularly assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to students and parents to support their learning and development.
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages students to participate and express themselves.
• Identify the individual needs of students and provide tailored support to help them achieve their full potential.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational practices.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to develop a cohesive educational program and participate in school events.

KEY REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of P1 Certificate from a recognized institution.
• Previous teaching experience in Grade 1 to Grade 3 is essential.
• Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with young children.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrable computer proficiency
• Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools.
• Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching young learners.
