Maintenance Technician at Kim-Fay East Africa Limited

• We are seeking a competent and self-driven Maintenance Technician to support our operations through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of machinery and facility systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in minimizing downtime and enhancing equipment reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proven competence in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of plant machinery with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of equipment installation, commissioning, and performance optimization.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to maintain maintenance reports, technical documentation, and spare parts inventory.
• High level of commitment to safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Practical knowledge in continuous improvement principles, including Kaizen and root-cause analysis is an added advantage.
