The position will be BASED in Kampala (UGANDA)

KEY SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION

• Qualifications required: Minimum academic qualification:  Degree in B. Commerce, Business Admn – Finance, BSc. Accounting & Finance
• Qualifications as an added advantage: CPA, ACCA
• Professional registration:  Yes
• Industry: Manufacturing or any FMCG (MANDATORY)
• Total-experience: Minimum 8 years

Reports to (designation):  Finance Manager

Main purpose of the position: Ensure timely generation of management reports.

• Reporting in to this position (designation and level)
• Routine/Direct: MA Assistants

Key responsibilities:

• Management Accounting
• Preparation of monthly management reports
• Ensure correctness of entries posted in GL
• Fixed Assets maintenance and reconciliation thereof
• Review of Inventory valuation
• Budgetary & Controls
• Timely and accurate preparation of budget
• Co-ordination with other FHs on timely provision of data for budget preparation
• Monthly analysis of actual and budgeted costs
• Internal Financial checks and controls
• Review and strengthen internal controls
• To ensure accurate inputs in the general ledger
• Check all payment vouchers before payment
• Internal audit queries
• Checking of statutory compliance
• External audit coordination
• Timely preparation of audit schedules
• Technical advice to departments
• To provide required information/reports to other departments as and when necessary
