Material Handler at Sun King (Formerly Greenlight Planet)

About the role:

• A material handler will be in in charge of taking production orders and supplying the production line with the required raw materials for the timely production process. They will be in charge of for loading the production line with the required materials to sustain the assembly operation.

What you would be expected to do:

• Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labelling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages
• Maintains in-process components at work centers by delivering and opening parts and supplies.
• Locates and prepares finished products for dispatch.
• Documents materials and records units delivered to the production line.
• Receives return material and defective components/scraps from the production line and organizes for replacement.
• Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
• Count inventory and keep a detailed log
• Stage the required materials for inspection.

You might be a strong candidate if you:

• Possess a diploma in supply chain management or a related field.
• Have at least 1 year of experience as material handler for completely/semi-knocked down components
• Demonstrate working knowledge of the 6S strategy.
• Have warehouse experience (preferred).
• Are knowledgeable in warehouse and production area safety protocols.
