Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the implementation of mechanical systems in various construction projects. This role demands strong technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and supervise the installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Analyze project requirements, perform calculations, and select appropriate equipment and materials.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues on-site and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure all mechanical work complies with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on building services.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SolidWorks, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of Kenyan construction codes, regulations, and approval processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
