Pediatric Nurse at Kilimani Children’s Clinic

Position Overview: 

As a Pediatric Nurse at Kilimani Children's Clinic, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our young patients. You will work with a team of nurses and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and comfort of our pediatric patients. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients, including administering medications, drawing blood, giving childhood vaccinations, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with treatments and procedures.
• Complete the necessary MOH reporting requirements ensuring timely and accurate submission.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for pediatric patients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about pediatric health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of pediatric nursing practices at Kilimani Children's Clinic.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya with a valid Practice License.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric assessment, treatment, and care protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate care and advocating for the needs of pediatric patients.
