Job Description
Terms of service: Permanent and pensionable.

Reporting to the Manager, Internal Audit and Risk Assurance.

The duties and responsibilities will include:-

• Participation in the overall development and delivery of the audit plan
• Conduct Internal Systems risk assessments to identify inherent and potential risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Undertake business application systems review, Database reviews, Information System security reviews, IS development/acquisition reviews, Internal Systems processes review etc.
• Execute Internal Systems audit assignments and well referenced working papers and evidence for all assignments undertaken.
• Perform information control reviews to include system development standards, operating procedures, system security, programming controls, communication controls, backup and disaster recovery, and system maintenance.
• Assist in provision of quality assurance in technology acquisition, implementation and sign off of Information System projects.
• Track recommendations arising from audits and work with stakeholders to ensure implementation of audit actions.
• Assist in extraction and analysis of audit data using data analytical tools to improve IA department’s efficiency and productivity.
• Review security control frameworks/guidelines to ensure consistent application of security controls
• Advise on trends in technology security and provide input to mitigate emerging threats

Minimum requirements
Requirements for Appointment.

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Information Systems (or related technical / business field) from a recognized university.
• Eight (8) years relevant work experience in ERP system audit (Oracle, SAP) and DB information
• Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
• iBe a certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
• Be a certified Public Accountant (CPA-K).
• Proficient in computer software and applications (e.g., ACL, TeamMate, Idea, SQL, Ms Office etc.)
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Fulfill requirements of Chapter Six of Constitution.
